ESD shelves: Protection for your components
WIs there a SIMPLE way to protect electronic components?Uncontrolled electrostatic discharge (ESD) is one of the main dangers of working with electronic components. Even small amounts of charge can destroy these sensitive components. ESD-safe work places ensure controlled discharge.
We protect your components from high potential differences. Our shelves come with a special coating that is electrically conductive. This allows for direct storage of the components on the shelves when they are placed in the ESD Protection Area (EPA) or are earthed. Electronic components can be stored on the shelves without the need for any additional protection. This means that additional protection, such as special protection mats or box storage, is no longer necessary.
What makes them so special? All ESD shelves come with a special coating that is guaranteed to discharge voltage in a controlled way.
These comply with the standard DIN 61340-5-1.
Through a defined surface and leakage resistance, the tension is gently reduced without causing any damage to the sensitive components.
The defined surface and leakage resistance ranges from 104 to 109 Ω.
The ESD coating also features a high surface hardness and prevents the accumulation of dust. This coating is possible for a wide range of shelves with various dimensions and loads.
The benefits to you:- Defined leakage resistance ranging from 104 to 109 Ω.
- Compliant with DIN 61340-5-1
- Special coating prevents the attraction of dust
- Quick plug-in assembly of shelves
- Wide selection of various shelf dimensions and loads
- Shelves can be equipped with accessories
